Kansas: [1915]. Seven real photo postcards, each measuring 6 x 3.5", all captioned in pencil on the backs. The captions read: “guard at prison”, “kitchen at prison”, “prisoner at drill”, “prison [exterior shot]”, “prison [exterior shot]”, “prison bathroom” and “prison entrance”. The entrance depicted is that of the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The USDB is the U.S. Military’s only maximum-security prison for housing court-martialed soldiers. Postcards a bit curled, else fine. Item #2991
