Whiskey--How To Use It!
Maysville, Kentucky: Poyntz Bros., Distillers, Circa 1900. Single leaf printed to recto only, 8.5 x 11". An early promotional flyer for "Fine Kentucky Whiskies" produced by Poyntz Bros Distillers of Maysville, Kentucky. The text touts the medicinal quality of whiskey while condemning its "immoderate use and abuse". It also warns against "The villainous compounds imitating pure liquors", stressing that their products are "absolutely pure Kentucky Bourbon and Rye Whiskies" that were government bonded. Undated, but prints an 1897 message from the Deputy Collector of Internal Revenue attesting to their product. At the bottom of the flyer is a pricelist of Poyntz Bros' aged whiskies. Not in OCLC. Folding creases, one separation and one long tear, each a few inches long, a few smaller tears. Item #15469
