Collection of Photographs of Native Americans at the Fort Apache Indian Reservation

Fort Apache, Arizona: 1942. Photo-folder of green wrappers measuring 5.75 x 4", containing 13 black and white photographs (12 captioned on the backs), titled to front wrapper "Fr. Apache Arizona, January 22, 1942". A collection of photographs of Native Americans on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Arizona. All but two of the images, which depict plant life, show Native Americans, several of whom are identified on the backs. This includes two photos of a woman in traditional dress with "burden basket in hand", two photos of a woman basket weaver, and a photo of an "Apache Teepee." The final six photos depict an "Apache girl's coming out party", including "gifts of food to lady of honor". Curling to booklet and photos, bit of soiling and creasing to images, very good.
