Octavo, 7 volumes, green cloth with green floral design to front covers, titles to front covers and spines in gilt, Illustrated with monochrome vignettes, color frontispieces and thirty-nine colored plates to each volume. Hulme was a botanist, and was best known for this series of works. The volumes provide an overview of wild flowers, containing a detailed description of each flower and their medicinal uses and habitat. These represent the first 7 volumes in his series which went up to 9. Pages with slight toning and scattered foxing, with offsetting and heavy spotting to end papers, Volume 1 with significant bump to front corners and with loss of cloth at corners, Volume 5 with some bowing to boards, else set has general wear to extremities with slight soiling to cloth, a very attractive set.
