Single issue of this "Weekly Newspaper, published every Saturday in Boston and Chicago, devoted to the interests of Woman -- to her educational, industrial, legal and political Equality, and especially to her right of suffrage." The newspaper was edited by several important women's rights advocates, including Julia Ward Howe, Lucy Stone, Henry Blackwell, Thomas Higginson, and Mary A. Livermore. The newspaper was first published in 1870, and aligned with the American Woman Suffrage Assocation; it "served as the voice of the US women's suffrage movement for almost 50 years" (NPS.gov). This issue contains an article titled "Horace Greeley and Woman Suffrage" as well as other content related to suffrage, women's education, women in public office, etc. Mild toning, creasing, soiling and foxing, small hole in center of first leaf.
