No Place of Publication: 1848. Bifolium measuring 6.5 x 4" when folded, with 2 pp of handwritten text, signed "J.J. Astor Jr" and dated November 1848 on the back. Astor Jr. writes to businessman, planter and slaveowner Francis P. Corbin, offering regrets for not seeing him that morning, inviting Corbin to dine, and "thanking you for the many acts of kindness you have done me in the course of the last two years."
