Sample Album of Menus

France: Circa 1910s. 11.5 x 8", quarter cloth binding with maroon boards, containing 153 numbered samples of French menus and dance cards. Wear along spine, front hinge broken. The first 123 samples are menus, ranging from simple cards with the word "Menu" on top to folding menus with elaborately decorated covers. These include a few menus with printed signatures of artists, including Harry Elliot, P.F. Grignon,and Jean Malet, the latter dated 1914. There are also several members by prominent French toy designer and lithographer Andre Helle. The final 30 samples in the album are for dance cards. Item #10405
